Journey through the magical fern gullies of the Dandenong Ranges aboard Australia’s favourite steam train. Join the forest fairies from Party Girl World for a weekend of free family activities and entertainment at Puffing Billy’s new Lakeside Visitor Centre.
Stopover at Lakeside Station to explore the enchanting Emerald Lake Park precinct. Wander the lush walking trails, spot ducks by the lake and learn some new tricks from the fairies! Take inspiration from the green world around you and conjure up your own unique critter to take home.
This free event delivered in partnership with The Party Girl World Cranbourne is supported by Cardinia Council as part of the What’s On Cardinia festival. Enjoy a month-long celebration as Cardinia Shire comes alive with creativity, pop-up events, and attractions.

HOW TO GET THERE
Through the enchanted forest aboard Puffing Billy!
Puffing Billy Railway Belgrave – Lakeside return journey departs Belgrave at 10am, 11am and 12.30pm, with a stopover at Lakeside. Pre-book your tickets online.
Drop in visitors also welcome. Entry to the Lakeside Visitor Centre is free. Take public transport or drive to Emerald Lake Park – paid parking is available but spaces are currently limited.
KEEP IN MIND
- Lakeside Visitor Centre is a COVIDSafe venue; all visitors aged 18+ must be fully vaccinated.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Drop-in craft activities available on the day are suitable for children aged 3+ and are available while stock lasts.
