Under the careful control of the workshops manager, 1711 rumbles across the historic Monbulk Creek trestle bridge one morning in early November with a test train to Emerald. Having spent time in the Belgrave workshops for urgent maintenance, 1711 was proving itself out on the “main line” before resuming its duties at Gembrook and once more hiding beneath the “Thomas the Tank Engine” disguise.
