FOUNDATION - YEAR 8

Join our education officers and enjoy an adventure through the magnificent forests of the Dandenong Ranges onboard Puffing Billy Railway. Students will develop an understanding of the technologies used at the Railway and how these have changed over time. Celebrating the tools and machines at Puffing Billy we will focus on this years National Science week theme of “Glass: More than meets the eye” and investigate the use  and importance of glass throughout puffing billy railway’s history!

  • Journey on Puffing Billy from Belgrave to Lakeside Station
  • Depart from Lakeside on school bus

Option 2

  • Meet at Belgrave Station
  • Journey on Puffing Billy from Belgrave to Lakeside Station
  • Travel from Lakeside to Menzies Creek on school bus
  • Visit Menzies Creek Museum
  • Depart Menzies Creek on school bus

Option 3 – Return journey

  • Meet at Belgrave Station
  • Return journey on Puffing Billy from Belgrave to Lakeside station
  • 1.5 hours to explore Lakeside Visitor Centre and undertake Educator guided workshop
  • Depart from Belgrave on School Bus
