Volunteer Parking: available as per Autumn season, alongside J.A.C. Russell Park (entry via Station St) and at the back of the Heritage Platform, access Station St, then the laneway (Innes Rd.)

Remember to bring your PBR parking pass.

Position Descriptions

Role: Meet & Greet

Customer focused role, greeting and informing passengers as they enter the Railyard. This role has busy and quiet periods; volunteers may be requested to do other tasks. View PDF here.

Shift: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Location: Site Entry, Ticket Booth, Railyard

Role: Ticket Attendant

Customer focused role, exchanging tickets for wristbands, informing passengers of the activities available in the Railyard. Also the Hub for event communication - for passengers, volunteers and event management. View PDF here.

Role: Certificates Attendant

Customer focused role, printing the personalised certificates for passengers. Competent ability to use a laptop and printer is required.

Role: Photo Attendant

Manage the queue and supervise the actors who are photographing passengers with the Thomas loco. Ensuring safe and timely movement in the designated area. View PDF here.

Role: Crossing Marshall

Supervise the rail line crossing points to ease congestion in the event site and ensure passenger safety. Communication with train crews and signalman is key. View PDF here.

Manage the safe embarkment and disembarkment of passengers to carriages, coordinate the departure and arrival of the Thomas Shuttle. View PDF here.
