The Puffing Billy Railway collection is maintained to meet our mission to preserve, celebrate and share our heritage rail experience.
The purpose of the collection is to engage, enthuse and educate the public about the history of the Railway and the significant impact of our volunteers over the last 120 years.
HOW TO MAKE AN OBJECT DONATION
There are limitations on what Puffing Billy Railway can and cannot collect.
Objects offered for donation should:
- demonstrate relevance to our mission statement (see below) and fit within the interpretive themes across the Railway
- be in a suitable condition
- have appropriate information about its history and owners
- not be hazardous to the health and safety of the general public
