PLEASE NOTE: The school community work program is suspended until further notice.

Puffing Billy Railway encourages school groups to attend the Railway for a day to give their students the opportunity to contribute to the community, add to a local tourism experience and participate in a variety of team building activities.

If your school has a group of between 10 and 30 students, why not ask how your school can contribute to the overall smooth running of the Railway and organise a team to become part of our #PBRTeenTeam program.

You can participate in the Environmental Management of our rail corridor, weeding, replanting and generally improving the biodiversity along our railway track, or have your school group contribute to a project that assists with the beautification of our Railway. This includes building pathways, painting fences and doing hard physical work that will get you away from the classroom and into the refreshing learning environment of Puffing Billy Railway.
