Start your family day out at Rayners Orchard in Woori Yallock, approx. 1 hour east of Melbourne CBD. The tractor tours of the orchard and shop are open every day throughout the year, with U-pick open most of the year. Our Fruit Adventure Tours take you around the orchard with an expert guide. You’ll learn about our farming practices and discover what real fruit tastes like. Rayners is one of the leading u pick farms in Melbourne.
Collect some morning tea from Incy Wincy in Emerald. Incy Wincy is a seasonal grab-and-go cafe hatch, featuring coffee, smoothies, fresh juices, sandwiches, salad bowls, pies and sausage rolls, as well as house-made popsicles for those warm days in the Dandenong Ranges. Located within the contemporary lifestyle store, Behind the Trees in Emerald. You can order ahead using the Skip app and simply collect it from the hatch on your arrival. Incy Wincy also stocks coffee making products and a number of specialty beans for home use.
Lunchtime
Jump on board Puffing Billy for a century-old steam train ride through the beautiful forests and fern gullies of the Dandenong Ranges.
Walking through the heritage town of Gembrook, smell the Italian aroma wafting through the air. The Station House Pizzeria offers a newly refurbished, fully licensed, 30 seat restaurant as well as take away - easily enjoyed in the nearby J A C Russell Park.
Afternoon
Collect a snack from one of our refreshment rooms to enjoy on a picnic rug in Emerald Lake Park next to our station - or in the car on the way home!
