Climax 1694 steaming out the Belgrave workshops during testing. The engine has performed well on test so far, hauling D21 to Menzies Creek last week, and lifting a 70 ton train from a stand on Emerald Bank with consummate ease!
Aside from one bearing running a little warm, which has been attended to, the loco should be passed for traffic soon.
It certainly will be an interesting sight again in the Dandenongs, one that everyone is looking forward to!
