An icon within the Dandenong Ranges
Rekindle the romance of the rails as you travel through the captivating Ranges in Melbourne's east.
Amongst the glamour of the Flapper Era where pearls and feathers, silk bow ties and braces are the fashion, there has been a Murder on the Puffing Billy Express! It promises to take you not only through the forest but to transport you back in time. With its polished wood, elegant upholstery and antique fixtures, the train exemplifies the glamour and elegance of the Golden Age of travel.

Three Course Menu
Enjoy your three course meal, prepared in-house by Puffing Billy's chef and his team. With a delicious shared grazing platter served onboard, Puffing Billy Railway takes you on a 50-minute journey through the forest before arriving at the historic Nobelius Packing Shed where the mystery unfolds.
Your main meal and dessert will be served at the Nobelius Packing Shed, with tea and coffee served onboard the train back to Belgrave before your evening comes to an end.

Beverages, including internationally acclaimed wines from the Yarra Valley Region, are available to purchase at bar prices both onboard and at the Nobelius Packing Shed.

We encourage our Murder Mystery patrons to dress to the 1920s or 30s era. Dress up and you can go into the draw to win the Best Dressed Prize. Whilst not compulsory, it certainly adds to the experience!
If in doubt as to where to begin, we suggest you refer to shows such as Mrs Fisher's Murder Mysteries or Agatha Christie's Poirot or Miss Marple for ideas!
