Set in the lush surrounds of Emerald Lake precinct, the new Lakeside Visitor Centre is the perfect place to unwind and invest in your wellbeing. Make a Saturday morning stretch at Puffing Billy your new weekly habit! Mat-based pilates and yoga classes are led by professional instructors from Emerald Pilates and are suitable for a range of fitness levels, including beginners.
Pair your class with a delicious breakfast for $35. Curated by our Head Chef, our breakfasts showcase seasonal produce from the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. The pre-booked package includes one 50-minute class and your choice of cooked breakfast and tea/coffee selected from the Railway Cafe menu.
Perfect your poses against a sweeping backdrop of native forest and steam artefacts! With a modern café and state of the art amenities, Lakeside Visitor Centre is a comfortable base for extra adventuring in the Emerald Lake precinct after your class. Extend your me-time with a picnic by the water, a bushland stroll or meditation in a natural amphitheatre. E-bikes and trail bikes are available to hire at the Lakeside Station bike hub, ready for you to explore the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Rail Trail. Bring your binoculars to spot the abundant birdlife.
The hills are magical in all seasons, so don’t let misty mountain days deter you from your wellness journey. Classes take place indoors in a spacious climate-controlled room and we have locally roasted brews to keep you snug in the cooler months.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can stretch in and don’t forget to bring your own yoga/pilates mat, towel and drink bottle. Your instructor may provide props for certain exercises but will suggest variations to suit your experience and comfort level.
Lakeside Visitor Centre is a COVIDSafe venue.
Select your yoga or pilates session below. Each class is $15pp for 50 minute session. Class-only tickets cannot be upgraded to include breakfast packages but you can always choose from a range of sit down or takeaway options on the day.
Class & Breakfast Package
The pre-booked package for $35pp includes one admission to the selected class plus your choice of one cooked breakfast and one hot drink chosen from the Railway Cafe menu. You can browse the menu online but you won't need to make your selections ahead of time. Simply present your booking confirmation at the cafe counter to order your breakfast on the day. The kitchen opens at 9am, so yogis please note that cooked breakfast will only be available after your 8.30am class.
Parking is available at the Lakeside Visitor Centre and beside Emerald Lake. Ticketed parking is $6 per day flat rate; council operated ticket machines only accept credit and debit cards. If you plan to visit regularly, annual parking permits are available for $10 (Cardinia residents) or $40 (Non-Cardinia residents). Apply online.
There are scenic walking and cycling trails into the precinct from Emerald village or from Wright Forest/Cockatoo. Allow yourself about 30min to walk from the centre of Emerald (about 2.2km). We recommend the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Rail Trail which runs alongside Puffing Billy Railway in both directions. Explore trail maps.
The nearest bus stop on route 695 is Lawson Rd/Belgrave-Gembrook Rd (15 min walk, 1.1km) or Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd/Belgrave-Gembrook Rd (23min walk, 1.9km).

Based out of two studios in Emerald village, they offer Reformer Pilates, Studio (clinical) Pilates, Private/Semi-Private sessions, boutique Barre classes, Yin and Power Yoga, Pilates for Kids, online classes and a Pilates at Home service.
Studio director Di Dall’Oglio has 25 years of experience teaching people how to move and loves what she does. Di has been teaching pilates and movement since 1993, and is also a qualified yoga and meditation teacher. She is the Victorian partner of pilates teacher training organisation Tensegrity Training, mentoring new pilates teachers along their journey to becoming fully qualified and affiliated with the peak pilates bodies in Australia. She has a Masters degree in Economics and runs business workshops for studio owners.
